Meet Our Lead Pastor

Mike & Jerica O’connell

We came to Love Church separately, but God clearly directed both of our steps to the same place.

Mike came from Los Angeles after receiving a word from the Lord to study His Word and begin serving at Love Church. Jerica arrived with a stirring in her heart and a sense that God was leading her here too. We met at Pastor Todd and Denise’s home, got married in 2014, and joined the team that same year.

What looked like a job was really God calling us into something much bigger. Thirteen years later, this church is our family. On January 1, 2026, Mike had the honor of stepping into the role of Lead Pastor.

Today, we’re raising our three kids in a city we love and doing life with people we’ve walked alongside for more than a decade. We’ve watched God do the impossible here: marriages restored, addictions broken, lives transformed, and people sent out to reach others.

That’s why we do this.

We’re not interested in a faith that stays inside a building. We want every person who walks through our doors to experience God’s best for their life: to love God supremely, love people supernaturally, and get to know Him one day at a time in their own Bible.

Same heart. New season.

Love Church was founded in 2008 by Pastor Todd and Denise Doxzon, who faithfully pioneered this house for 17 years. Today, Pastor Todd serves as our Founding Pastor, teaching and building right alongside us. Denise is continuing to serve as our Agape Director.

We’re standing on their shoulders.

The vision hasn’t changed. Only the season has.
