Daily Manna
“Then the Lord said to Moses, “Look, I’m going to rain down food from heaven for you. Each day the people can go out and pick up as much food as they need for that day. I will test them in this to see whether or not they will follow my instructions.”
Exodus 16:4
What happens after God delivers us, but before our mindset is fully transformed? In Exodus 16, the Israelites experience God’s miraculous provision of manna in the wilderness, revealing a powerful truth: freedom from Egypt doesn’t automatically mean freedom from an Egypt mindset. In Daily Manna, Pastor Mike O’Connell teaches that while God often uses miracles to rescue us in a moment, He uses daily dependence on Him to bring lasting transformation.
God uses miracles to get us out of Egypt, but He uses daily formation to get Egypt out of us. As our church celebrates a fresh move of the Holy Spirit and 135 people saying yes to Jesus in just six weeks, this message reminds us that we’re not just called to moments of encounter—we’re called to a life of discipleship. True growth happens when we learn to trust God one day at a time.
This message calls us to become self-feeders, rooted in God’s Word and shaped daily by His presence. When we gather manna consistently, God reshapes our thinking, deepens our faith, and leads us into the freedom He’s always intended for our lives—all for His glory.
