Where this data comes from, and what to check

This page reads the LC Groups Directory Google Sheet fresh on every page load, so an edit to the sheet shows up here the next time someone opens the page — no republishing needed. The sheet itself is a Planning Center export, so it is only as current as the last PCO pull. If the sheet cannot be reached, the page falls back to the built-in 31 Aug 2026 snapshot and says so in the status line at the top.

Editing

Edit the ALL GROUPS tab. Column order does not matter — the page finds columns by their header name — but the headers themselves must keep their spelling: Group Name, Enrollment, Day, Time, Frequency, Leaders, Area of Town, Location, URL Link, Members, Contact Email. Location is read as Venue — Street, City, ST ZIP; the em dash is what splits venue from address. Add a Category column if you want to override the group-type grouping by hand.

Map pins

Approximate. There is no geocoder behind this page, so coordinates are derived from Omaha’s numbered street grid using two calibration anchors (72nd St, Dodge St). Addresses on numbered streets land within a few blocks; addresses in Gretna, Papillion, Bennington and on named parkways are placed at the centre of their ZIP code and can be off by a mile. Every pin carries its real street address and a Google Maps link — navigate from those, never from the pin.

Calendar

Projected from each group’s weekly pattern, not from dated events. The seven every-other-week groups appear on every matching weekday because PCO’s schedule text does not say which weeks they fall on. They are drawn with a hollow dashed marker. Confirm the week with the leader.

Group type

Not a PCO field. Derived from the group-name prefix. PCO’s own Group Types are only Groups, Care Groups, REV Groups, Staff and so on.

Area of town

Not a PCO field either. Derived from each location’s ZIP code, then labelled by hand. Two labels still need a decision: “Papillion” vs “Papillion / Millard South”, and “Southwest Omaha (Millard)” vs “Southwest Omaha (Millard West / 180th–192nd)”.

Gaps in PCO

19 groups have no location record: 9 are virtual-only, and 10 are in-person groups with the field left blank — including all six REV MID grade-level groups, whose descriptions say Elkhorn South Campus. Those 10 cannot be mapped until someone fills the field in. PCO also holds duplicate location records for Holy Grounds and for the Verbeck home.

66 groups have a public Church Center page. The other 30 are unlisted, so their only link is the staff-only PCO admin URL — those are hidden in the congregant view and marked staff link in the staff view.
